NROI Objectives

Our comprehensive approach to developing and maintaining excellence in range officiating

  • Register and certify national Range Officers (RO, CRO, RM, SO).
  • Prepare and update training materials in accordance with international standards.
  • Organize and deliver official certification courses with assured quality.
  • Evaluate performance and grant or revoke certifications based on competence.
  • Maintain an accurate record of qualification points for all officials.
  • Ensure safety and discipline at shooting ranges.
  • Cooperate with IROA and facilitate international certification for officials.
  • Support competition analysis and evaluation through statistical tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with IPSC rules and provide clarification when required.

Certification Process

Step-by-step pathway to international recognition

01 Submit Online Application

Complete the official application form with all required documentation

02 Attach Credentials

Include Level-I seminar certificate and endorsement letters

03 Quarterly Review

IROA committee reviews applications in Jan / Apr / Jul / Oct

04 System Access

Upon approval, access IROA system and generate points card

05 Provisional Service

Serve provisionally at 2 Level III+ matches for evaluation

06 Full Membership

Earn full IROA membership after successful review period

07 Annual Maintenance

Maintain annual match points to stay active and certified

The complete certification process typically takes 3-6 months, depending on quarterly review schedules and match availability for provisional service.

Annual renewal requires maintaining minimum match points and continuing education to stay current with evolving IPSC standards.

Match Levels & Points

Officials earn qualification points by successfully serving at sanctioned events. Points accumulate over time and are used to maintain certification status and qualify for advanced roles.

Level I
Local Club

Local competitions, often held on weekends, primarily for club members and nearby participants.

Level II
Regional

Competitions at the regional level, bringing together shooters from multiple clubs within a region.

Level III
International

Large-scale matches attracting competitors from multiple countries, serving as qualifiers for higher-level events.

Level IV
Continental Championship

Continental-level competitions representing the highest competition within a continent.

Level V
World Shoot

The ultimate international competition featuring the world's best shooters from across the globe.
